New York, NY - Born and raised on the island of Jamaica, Joyce Mack currently resides in Harlem, New York and is the proud mother of 7 grown children and 12 adoring grandchildren.
Last year, her life was disrupted, when she received the devastating news that she was diagnosed with Leukemia, and relapsed earlier this year. Her best chance of survival is a bone marrow transplant, but she must first find a match. After undergoing compatibility testing with her children, and still unable to find a match, her last resort is finding an unrelated donor match to make this transplant possible.
Let's help Joyce defeat these odds, by helping her find a compatible donor! Patients are most likely to match someone who shares their ethnic background.
How you can help
It costs approximately $100 to addd just one life-saving donor to the Be The Match Registry. Please consider making a donation to help us offset this cost and give more patients like Nina a chance to find a match!
