The Icla da Silva Foundation, is the largest recruitment center for the Be The Match Registry. In 2009 we added over 37,000 new bone marrow donors to the registry, this will significantly bring hope to more patients that are awaiting a second chance of life. These results would not have been attainable without the loyal support of individuals, corporations and foundations like you. Your support makes it possible for us to continue fulfilling our mission. 
 
The mission to save lives by recruiting bone marrow donors and by providing patient support services, to children and adults with leukemia and other diseases treatable by a marrow transplants. Hundreds of adults and children battling with leukemia, lymphoma or other blood diseases reach our offices on a regular basis with the hope of finding a compatible bone marrow donor. These patients are also desperately looking for financial and emotional support. Adding and maintaining a bone marrow donor on the registry involves a cost of approximately $100. Many times our ability to add more donors to the registry is limited, due to the lack of funding. No patients or families dealing with a life threatening disease, should have to be burdened with additional worries like these.
