Foundation Hosts Patient and Marrow Donor Luncheon
12 Apr 2008
On April 12th, The Icla da Silva Foundation held its first Patient and Donor’s lunch in 2008. It was hosted at the River Room, located at the Riverbank State Park in Manhattan.
It is wonderful to see how donors get involved with the work we do and also how much they care about this noble cause.
At the event the Foundation recognized four out of the 21 donors who donated marrow/stem cells in the last year: Xiomara Carvajal – Nunez, Antonio Cardoso, Ana Teixeira Franco, and Clinger Andrade.
Melissa Rozon, Maria Santos and Frank Reyes, all former patients, were also present.
We thank all the donors, patients, board members, staff, and volunteers who came to share this important moment with us. This kind of event is especially important for the patients; they see that they always have our support and are not alone in this fight.
